Imagine

Friends, I want you to indulge me today with a thought exercise about our country and the state that we're in.  Try to imagine....

That the President withdrew from numerous international agreements designed to maintain peace, order, economic prosperity and combat climate change.  And did so for petty and sketchy reasons.

That the President decided to roll back virtually every regulation designed to protect our environment and assure clean water and air for future generations.

That the President would undertake a damaging and prolonged trade war with China, implementing the ancient tactic of tariffs in hopes of leveling the playing field, only to damage the American economy and require a bailout for farmers, and that the ultimate outcome of this would be the highest trade deficit in 14 years.

That the President would pursue a relationship with the dictatorial leader of North Korea and claim to have "fallen in love" with that murderous tyrant through the course of letters and other correspondence exchanged.

That the President would continue efforts to weaken or even dismantle the Affordable Care Act, despite not having a plan of any kind for a replacement for the ACA.

That the President and his allies would welcome electoral and other interference with Russia, knowing that the US intelligence community determined time and again that they were attempting to interfere in our elections in 2016 and 2020.

That the President would turn his back on evidence that the royal family of Saudi Arabia likely was involved in the murder and dismemberment of a Saudi journalist who had become a permanent resident of the United States.

That the President would attempt to shake down the leaders of one or more foreign governments in hopes of getting information to use against his political opponents.

That the President would lie over 25,000 times during the past three and a half years.

That the President would "play down" the impact and danger of the coronavirus pandemic and do virtually nothing to help local and state governments in caring for their citizens, ultimately allowing over 210,000 deaths to occur in the process.

That the President would eventually contract the coronavirus and interfere with the administration and disclosure of medical treatment and turn a hospitalization for a serious illness into a serious of photo opportunities designed to rally supporters.  And to jailbreak from the hospital to stage a video "event" upon returning to the White House.

I could go on, but you get the idea.  Are you imagining all of this?  Good.

Now imagine that the president is Hillary Clinton.
