The “man” of the hour
Greetings from Parker, Colorado! My wife and I are here this week to celebrate our older grandson, as he was gracious enough to schedule two basketball tournaments, his Catholic confirmation and his graduation from 8th grade all in just over a week! We left Lexington Friday afternoon and drove to the western suburbs of St. Louis. Had a good night’s sleep there and traveled on Saturday morning to Lawrence, Kansas for tournament number one. I thought it was rather funny that his team played three other teams…..also from Colorado. Long way to go to play against teams from your own back yard! On that trip our grandson was accompanied by his dad (our son in law) and his big sister, who had just finished her freshman year at Colorado State University. Nice to see everyone, and our player and his dad went with the team for a group dinner event Saturday night, so we took our granddaughter out to dinner and had a wonderful time in a local brewpub with great food and atmosphere in downtown L
